PREIS has many years of experience as producer of transformer tanks for power transformers. The product range covers small radiator units through medium voltage transformers to the biggest and most complex power transformers like HVDC-systems.
In addition to standard steel tanks, we have gained many years of experience in the production of special projects such as “Brückenmittelstücke” – compact high-power transformers for semi-autonomous rail transport, phase-shifters and, more recently, transformers for off-shore applications.
To complete the package, we offer our customers a range of extra services such as preparation of production documentation, identification of cost-reduction potentials and technical expertise in areas such as welding and corrosion protection according to ISO 12944 standards.
The scope of delivery for power transformer tanks includes:
PREIS provides oil-tight corrugated tanks for distribution transformers and inductors according to customers design and relevant welding standards.
Traction transformer tanks are used in locomotives, urban railways and high-speed trains.
With regard to the construction and production of railed vehicles, PREIS is approved for the welding of plates, pipes and threaded bolts of carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and aluminium according to DIN EN 15085-2 (CL1) and EN ISO 3834-2.
